Play it again, Dino!

We had a fun weekend. Yesterday Ryan had his second basketball game. He plays with the "Golden Waves" in Upwards Basketball. If your kids have an opportunity to participate in this program through a local church, jump on it! They memorize scripture, do devotionals and learn about sportsmanship all wrapped around the context of basketball. Ryan got a start for "best defense" for this game! We were very proud of him. It's something he was working on.

Last night we made our second visit to a Dino's Karaoke Night! It was so much fun. The kids really got into this week. They opened up the event with their rendition of "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". It was quite a treat!
Casey had to get in on the action too with George Strait's "The Fireman".
I honestly can't remember what they were singing here...Sydney is singing with three girls from our church group, Kelsey, Caitlyn and Kelly (in order). They were so sweet to the kids (as they always are). Some of you may have heard Sydney tell about the girl that made her laugh while waiting for the doctor to come in when she cut her head at the lake. She was afraid she was going to have to have stitches. Caitlyn is the one that stayed with us the whole time and kept Syd laughing...blood and all. At that same time, Kelsey was helping to make sure that the boys made it home safely and stayed with them until Sydney and I got back from the hospital. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, I was at the lake with the kids and my Sunday School class (11th and 12th grade girls). Sydney's head was cut open causing a mad dash to the ER. The girls took care of all of us! And Kelly...according to Josh, she'll be part of the family one day. Josh has made it very clear he will be marrying her one day!

Here Ryan and Hunter are singing "Life is a Highway". They had a great time!
We'll be there again in two weeks at the next Karaoke night. It was so much fun...and no one forced me to sing!

  2. Aww! Look how old they are... when did they get so big? Joshy is nowhere near the baby I remember... and Sydney is quite the young lady now. Has it really been that long?

  4. Way to train them to be confident on-stage. It'll serve them well.
